These mixed media drawings take as their subject the tree tops, the vertigo inducing height of the Douglas Fir, Lodgepole and Ponderosa Pine, the shimmering movement of wind in birch trees and  the canopy that crowns them.  The light behind and through the leaves and branches makes the trees of British Columbia, as Emily Carr described it, ‘beloved of the sky’.
