'“There was a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.”
Leonard Cohen
In this series of waterscapes, paintings are combined with plexiglass and LED lights. In the Reflecting Pools series, oil on canvas paintings float on a rectangular pool of light. In the Water Tables group, oil on drafting film works are enclosed in plexiglass boxes wit strips of multicoloured LED light as a counterpoint. An extension of the Raindance series these works are both hopeful, a prayer for rain, a celebration of light, and a meditation on the fragility of the wilderness.
